Convertible Backpack/Sling Bag - BORDEAUX
The world-renowned region of the French wine industry for which this convertible backpack/sling bag is named is suggested by the rich burgundy and bronze hues. These deep colors make this the full-bodied wine of accessories!
The BORDEAUX is my original handmade creation. It is very versatile as it can be worn as a conventional 2-shoulder style backpack or switched into a one-shoulder "sling" type bag by zipping the straps together and moving the swivel clips to one side.
It is constructed of high-end designer home decor fabrics. The textures, patterns, colors, and materials are chosen specifically to compliment each other for a cohesive and unique scheme.
The front pocket is a textured geometric patterned fabric of napped stripes on a smooth brown block background; the front and back are burgundy tweed with brown threads delicately woven in; the bottom band is tan embossed synthetic suede fabric.
The trims coordinate with the colors and add even more texture and style. The distinctive embellishments and zipper pulls cap off this bag's one-of-a-kind personality.
It is fully lined with all seams clean finished. The bottom is interfaced and slightly padded to add a soft rigidity. The front zippered pocket is 7" wide and 7 1/2" deep. The main compartment is accessible from the right hand side by zipper. This one is the full length, width and depth - 16" tall, 4" deep, with a 13" wide base tapering to 9" at the top. On the opposite side on the back there is another zippered compartment that sits flat, perfect for a tablet, ipad, or book.
The straps are adjustable for length. The hardware is antique brass metal swivel clips, slides, and D-rings. The zippers are 4.5 YKK.
Ultimately, it marries eye-catching style with functionality for a signature bag.
